Christmas Stockings 2007

The picture on the right is the stockings that I stitched for my oldest son, Jacob, and his girlfriend, Julie. They are renovating 1 200+ year old farmhouse and had hoped to be in it. I envisioned the stockings hanging in their livingroom....but not this year.

Here they are just after opening their stockings! Jacob's stocking is Holiday Workshop and Julie's is Gardener's Delight. Both are from Better Homes and Gardens magazines.

Jacob has that smirk of his that I love....and Julie said was trying hard not to cry. She studied the stockings intently! : )

Ornaments I Stitched

Here's the picture of the ornaments I sent out. There are eight of them (one of the orange ones isn't in the picture entirely!). I will be starting my 2008 ornaments on New Year's Eve....if I get the birth announcement done (really need to get off here and stitch!) LOL!

Group Photo of Ornaments Received

Here's a group pic of all the ornaments received (minus the one at work!).

Three More Ornaments Received

Here are three lmore ornaments received (I do have one other to post, but I left it at work so don't have a picture yet!). The mitten is from Denise, the bird is from Janice, and the snow (with a red cardinal clay button) is from Carole. Sorry the photos are blurry. The pics just don't do them justice.

Third Ornament

I received the third ornament in my exchange yesterday! This is from Elaine B and is adorable. It is Noel done in red overdyed with a sprig of mistletoe. It is a hanging tuck ornament and the material is mistletoe....very pretty. Thank you, Elaine.

Oops

Oops, not sure why, but the pictures are reversed.

First Two Ornaments Received from 2007 Exchange

Here are two of seven ornaments from an exchange I am in. This first is from Cheryl in Florida. It is "Joy" by Stacy Wilson of June Grigg Designs, Inc. from 1998 JCS Ornament issue. It is a pocket ornament. She included a card that told what the ornament was and who designed it, along with a card and chocolate! At the bottom of the design are little nutcrackers. This ornament is stitched over one.

The second ornament is from Sue in Pennsylvania. I'm unsure who designed it, but it says "Let It Snow" and the "o" in snow is a silver snowflake charm. It is a hanging tuck pillow. So cute! This ornament is stitched over two. She also included a nice card and "The Christmas Alphabet" poem.

Saturday, December 1, 2007

Well today I completed eight ornaments for an exchange that I am a member off (I am the coordiantor). It's the Mount Forest Frame Works 2005 Snowman. Last Sunday, I finally broke down and sewed the two Christmas stockings for my eldest son and his girlfriend, into the actual stockings. I am quite impressed with them. Sorry that the picture is yellow, it does not do the stockings justice. Maybe Santa will bring me a NICE digital camera! Well, I'm off to work on a WIP Crown & Thistle - American Dreams "Hope". This is for a friend's birthday - December 17th. I believe I will have it done in time!
